, Cross -Hatch test(ASTM D3359/ISO 2409)
A visual comparison for Paint or Powder coatings DFT upto 125 microns and the coating adhesion assessed against rating or class mentioned in standards.
2, X-Cut test(ASTM D3359/ISO 2409)
A visual comparison for Paint or Powder coatings DFT above 125 microns. X-cut is made into the film pulling out with pressure sensitive tape.
3, Pull off test (ASTM D4541/ISO 4624)
To determine Adhesion strength of coating by gluing a dolly and the amount of force required to remove the dolly from coated surface.
4, Bend test (ASTM D522/ISO 6860)
It is used to qualify the coating resistance to cracking upon bending.
5, Impact test (ASTM D2794/ISO 6272)
To determine the resistance of coating film to the effect of rapid deformation (Impact) by dropping a standard weight from a certain distance.
6, T-Bend test (ASTM D4145/ISO 17132)
It is used to assess the ability of coating to withstand strains of fabrication through the formation of T-bend.
7, Peel test (ASTM D3330/ISO 29862)
To determining the peel adhesion properties of tape, this includes 6 different methods to measuring peel adhesion.
8, Adhesion / Formability test (ASTM D4146)
This test covers the evaluation of the formability and adhesion of factory applied Zinc rich primer or Chromate complex coatings.
9, Direct Tensile method (ASTM D5179)
This test method covers the laboratory determination of Organic Coating Adhesion to plastic substrate.
10, Cross Cut Evaluation (ASTM D6677)
This is a qualitative (subjective) test it has been used to evaluate the adherence properties by removing the coating film from coated surfaces.
